About Suzanne Carroll
Host of the Jazz Brunch®.

Suzanne Carroll is a dedicated wife to husband Dennis, mother of three children, two step children, and grandmother to adorable twin
granddaughters, and a terrific grandson.

Since the early 80’s, Suzanne has worked in a variety of positions within Toledo media. She started in radio at WOHO and WKKO radio in sales and progressed to Creative Services Director at NBC TV24. In addition to her career in local media she has owned and operated her own public relations / advertising agency named Creative Media Communications, which has served a variety of businesses in the Toledo area. Over the years she has also written, produced, and voiced hundreds of TV and radio commercials.

And if that isn’t enough she also produces and hosts The Jazz Brunch® each week! For 14 years, Suzanne has built a popular Sunday morning music specialty jazz program which airs every Sunday from 8 am until noon (EST), currently on WRVF • 101.5 The River in Toledo and online.

The Jazz Brunch is an independently produced show. All music selection, ad sales, financial management, promotion, and on-air hosting are done by Suzanne. She refers to herself as a “jazzy entrepreneur” and has even begun it to include the next generation of jazz fans; her grandchildren, Naudia, Gillian, and Brendon. Each has recorded announcements for The Jazz Brunch® that have been a real hit with the audience, and so much fun for “Grammy Suzanne”! (see pictures in the photo gallery) On an even more personal note, for many years Suzanne had dealt with many health difficulties, and in 1992 was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Since her diagnosis she has been very aggressive with treatment of her MS... and how she approaches life. She has always felt that jazz has been good therapy!

For many years Suzanne has been speaking to civic groups, seminars, doing radio interviews, and appearing on television interviews raising awareness about Multiple Sclerosis. She also promotes her advocacy efforts to help people with disabilities live better lives.

Traveling the country speaking about her life with MS in the hopes of inspiring others with the disease to continue their zest for life is one of her favorite things to do. She has also been the Chairwoman of the Woman Against Multiple Sclerosis Luncheon in Toledo since it’s inception six years ago.
